Sheep tagging is standard practice worldwide, but most people are unaware of the more common issues with tagging. Sheep tags are required to be used in a range of stock environments, from grazing to transit, and the need for good, reliable tags is therefore a high priority.
Some tags, however, don’t quite come up to scratch. The old “dog tag” type of tags had to be phased out because they simply weren’t good enough. Accurate identification, stock management, and everything else could become a guessing game if numbers and ID information was damaged or not properly engraved on the tags.
Wear and tear, and losing tags, is the other critical issue. Our tags are designed to sit firmly in place, with minimal risk of loss, removal, or damage issues, due to our tag manufacturing methods. We put a very high emphasis on quality and practical value so you’ll rarely need to re-tag or have problems with identification.
